Palm-tree, 2022
I got the palm from friends upon my return to Sweden from Sri Lanka in 1984. The memory of the palm dates back to when I lived in Sri Lanka.
Those works are part of my onging series of works (video, foto, documents, objects and paintings, 2004-today) on the Kotmale dam and the free trade zones in Sri Lanka. As a teen ager I lived in Kotmale, Sri Lanka for two years 1982-84 when my parents worked at Skanska that built the Kotmale dam.
Part of the exhibition at All Art Now (images below) was also the video The Swedish Camp (15 min. 2019).
